Mrs Barker's Tea Room
Look for these exciting new books on the Library shelf NOW!
During my recent visit to Switzerland I spent time with Ms Gittins, the Teacher Librarian at the International School of Lausanne. We discussed the value of 'gamed based learning' in schools. We are excited to announce a joint project between the two schools - Minecraft Mates. The project will involve students from St Therese's and students from Lausanne working on similar Minecraft challenges. We will offer each other ideas and feedback as we progress through the tasks. The students will collaborate online via blogs and skype. Read more about it at www.minecraftmates.weebly.com
Neal Manegold, the leader of Minecraft Education is aware of the project and thought it sounded 'awesome'. We look forward to sharing our work with him. Very exciting!
